We are happy to announce that
Nonprofit Resource Center of Northern Arizona (NPRC) has joined
with the
Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits. Thus, the current members of
NPRC have become members of the Alliance, with full rights, privileges
and benefits of Alliance membership as of April 1, 2009. NPRC
members can continue to expect quality services, valuable information
and training, and a high level of customer service, which have been
hallmarks of NPRC since its founding 7 years ago. In addition, these
members will enjoy an array of benefits and services and representation
in public policy provided by the Alliance, a statewide organization
dedicated to strengthening nonprofits in every corner of Arizona.
The Alliance celebrates the
achievements and commitment to excellence demonstrated by NPRC
as it developed and grew over the past several years. Nonprofits in northern Arizona have been well served by long-time NPRC
Executive Director Christina Boyd and the members of the NPRC
Advisory Board and Board of Directors. Because of their vision,
leadership and commitment, the unique interests of northern
Arizona nonprofits have been heard and articulated. The Alliance
is committed to continuing to serve these interests, with the
same level of dedication to unique regional issues as
demonstrated in other parts of Arizona, such as the partnership
with the Yuma Area Nonprofit Institute and local nonprofit
groups in southern Arizona. To assure the smooth transition of
NPRC perspectives and values into the Alliance, a Transition
Task Force will meet throughout the next few months with the
goals of examining the strengths of each organization and
leveraging those for the benefit of all members.
Members of NPRC will soon receive
their welcome packets from the Alliance, with information on all
of the benefits and services they will begin receiving. To learn
more about these benefits, members should contact Sally
Clifford, Director of Member Relations for the Alliance at
602-279-2966 X15, or e-mail

The Nonprofit Resource Center of Northern Arizona
(NPRC) seeks strategic partnerships whenever possible. We find that it is always
a win-win arrangement that meets respective missions
within the nonprofit sector of Arizona. NPRC is considered the regional hub for
nonprofit capacity building work in the northern region of Arizona and this was
achieved through intentional partnerships and strategic alignments.
The Lodestar Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Innovation (Arizona State
University in Phoenix, Arizona) has partnered with NPRC since the fall of 2005.
As part of an intern arrangement, the Lodestar Center provides us Web site
support and, in return, NPRC provides real-world nonprofit experience for their
interns, an opportunity for them to apply their knowledge and skills, and resumé
development.
The
Flagstaff City-Coconino County Public Library has provided office space for
NPRC, in its new branch library, since we opened our doors in May of 2003. In
return, NPRC has increased the patronage and visibility of the branch library.

Aspect1 Internet Services has provided
courtesy hosting of our Web site, email accounts, and listserv capability since
we opened in May of 2003. In return, NPRC has provided significant visibility
for Aspect1.
The
Page Public Library is committed to working with NPRC to provide our
Web-based training events for Page/Lake Powell organizations and
individuals who do not have internet capability. The Library offers a
very comfortable room with broadband, wireless internet, a large screen,
and an attendant to operate the technical aspects of each presentation.
